Matthew Gillings writes that he does not understand the arguments against the White Bear at Tingley being converted to a McDonalds.
Whilst visiting the North of England we decided to visit old family graves in the graveyard at St. Mary in the Wood Church.
I note that through your letters column Gillian Tate is calling for volunteers for the Morley Litter Group and on the television that Leeds City Council is to employ a security company to begin issuing fixed penalty notices for litter offences and failure to ‘pick up’ after a dog.
In response to Mathew Gillings letter regarding the McDonald’s application and the need to get back to basics (Postbag, May 1) it would be of advantage to examine some of those basics.
Love them or hate them, it is clear most residents in the Tingley area do not want McDonalds.
I’m writing in response to the letter published in last week’s paper relating to the proposed McDonalds restaurant at Tingley.
As plans for the construction of a new McDonald’s at Tingley roundabout continue to be met with fierce opposition by some members of the local community, perhaps we need to stop looking for excuses and go back to basics.5 comments
I congratulate Emily and Isabelle for their efforts which in a very personal way helps children suffering cancer.
