LETTERS: Coun Joe Tetley should be honoured

IT seems very unfair that red tape won’t allow Coun Joe Tetley to be awarded posthumously the MBE for which he was nominated and which he thoroughly deserved.

If the Queen can’t honour him in this way for his work in the community in Morley, however, then surely Morley itself could.

A simple way would be to name/rename some appropriate building or street in his memory, or erect a plaque in the Town Hall or the library.

Another way would be for Morley Town Council to make a special award to Maisie in recognition of all that Joe did for the town.
