LETTERS: Morley lights switch ‘a wonderful event’

LAST Thursday saw the lights switch on in Morley, organised by the entertainments committee chaired by Coun Joyce Sanders, our deputy mayor.

The support from the people of Morley was unbelievable.

In pouring rain, parents. children, grandparents, students and friends filled the town centre. We had a wonderful event, with happy Morleians and a feeling of community spirit.

I would urge all those who were present at this event, along with those who weren’t, if possible in these difficult economic times to do their shopping in Morley.

Morley has a great range of products to suit all ages and pockets, and of course free car parking.
