CHILDREN, staff and parents had a brilliant time at St Francis RC Primary School's gala on Saturday – as did comedian Billy Pearce!
Billy is a keen supporter of the school's annual event and this is the second year running he has come along to open it.
A spokeswoman for the school said: "Billy came along and did a really nice speech and stayed for most of the day.
"He seemed to really enjoy himself."
The gala was deemed to be a great success, especially as the weather stayed fine.
The proceeds have not been tallied up yet but they will be added to last year's gala takings to be put towards a new IT suite.
