A NEW psychic and paranormal investigation group is looking for some spooky venues in Morley to explore.
The members of the group meet every week to develop their psychic ability through training sessions and workshops, and prepare themselves emotionally, physically and mentally for their paranormal investigations.

And now they are looking for possible haunted venues in the area, or somewhere which may have paranormal activity, such as a home, place of work, pub, restaurant or theatre.

In the past they say they have already made contact with spirits, including a young boy who died in Cleckheaton many years ago.

The group is made up of around 18 to 20 members who meet in two separate development circles on a Thursday evening above Precious Nails in Heckmondwike.

Morley woman Bev Dibbs, the group's events manager, explains a typical meeting.

She said: "We usually start with our opening prayer. We then discuss things which have happened to us during the previous week, mainly things like whether anyone has experienced any paranormal activity, seen orbs or light anomalies, had specific dreams, made contact with spirits etc – anything really that we would like to share with the group.

"We then do a guided meditation, which starts with grounding and protection, followed by a discussion of what we experienced, saw, felt, heard or smelt."

This is then followed by some theory or a more practical exercise such as trying to contact spirits.

Bev said she would like to invite people to come along and find out what it is all about.

She said: "Lots of people think it's all a bit silly but it's not like that at all."

Like the rest of the group, Bev has a strong passion for the paranormal and spirits.

"Over the years I have attended various spiritual churches and workshops, seen numerous mediums and clairvoyants and had readings using spirits as well as tools such as cards," she said.
