OPERATION Christmas Child is still asking for your help to bring a glimmer of festive cheer to some of the world's poorest children.
The project, run by Christian charity Samaritan’s Purse, has launched its 2008 appeal in Morley with the Church of the Nazarene being a collection point for gift-filled shoeboxes until Tuesday, November 18. Deliveries can be made between 10am-2pm Monday to Friday. To drop off large boxes from places such as schools, call Pat on 2528193 or Mary on 2533625.

A limited number of leaflets with information needed are available from the Observer and Advertiser office at 40 Queen Street.

Last year’s project sent 1.3 million shoeboxes from the UK to children in hospitals, orphanages and homeless shelters in Eastern Europe and Africa and it is hoped this year even more children will be reached.
