A WEEK of half-term activities will take children back to Pastimes Past at Red House Museum in Gomersal.
Families will be able to discover some of the unusual craft activities enjoyed long ago by Victorian children.
Colourful glossy printed 'scraps' and hand-coloured pictures will be used to make decorative Victorian-style scrap album pages to take home.
Children can create tinsel pictures, a popular pastime of 160 years ago, using sparkling, coloured metallic foils, feathers, lace and velvet.
Visitors can also make Victorian paper toys, such as an optical thaumatrope and an animated serpent mobile as well as cut-out dress-up paper dolls.
There will be free drop-in sessions from 11am-1pm and 2pm-4pm each day from Monday, February 15 until Friday, February 19.
The activities are being held upstairs in the Red House Barn and access is by stairs only.
Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult throughout and the activities are not open to organised groups or playschemes.
