VISITORS to Eureka!, the national children's museum in Halifax, will celebrate the museum's 18th birthday with a new style admission ticket offering unlimited family fun for 12 whole months.
The introduction of the ticket is the first of many celebrations taking place this year to mark the museum's coming of age.
The new ticket, known as an annual pass, will be available to all visitors from Monday, February 1.
Prices will be £8.95
for adults and children aged 3 plus and £2.95 for children age one to two. Babies age 0-11 months will continue to be free of charge. A saver ticket for five people will be £38.50.
Leigh-Anne Stradeski, chief executive of Eureka!, said: "We wanted to create a new admission structure that would make Eureka! as accessible as possible to everyone, particularly those who have to think about the money they spend on a day out and who are being affected by the current economic climate."
Eureka! is an educational charity that receives no regular funding from the government, so all the admission charges are used to keep the museum running.
The new pass will be in full swing for February half-term when the museum will entertain hundreds of children and families with the Eureka! Winter Games, an alternative Winter Olympics with obstacle courses and sleigh racing.
