A RANGE of high-tech fire and rescue equipment will be showcased at this year's West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service summer gala.
More than 50 organisations will be at the gala, including West Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance, the Army, Bradford Bulls, a farmers' market and a number of charities, craft and refreshment stalls.
Brian Hughes, chairman of the gala committee, said: "The gala gets bigger and better year on year and the challenges of the building works at headquarters have actually brought new opportunities in terms of the number of different activities.
"This is not just a fun day out, it is jam packed full with useful information in relation to all emergency services, local authority services, local charities and youth organisations. Come along and give your support so that we can springboard into the year 2010 with even more events and attractions."
The gala will take place at brigade headquarters in Bradford Road, Birkenshaw, from noon. All money raised will go to The Fire Fighters' Charity, British Red Cross and other local charities.
