FOLLOWING the success of recent album And, which came out last September through Xtra Mile Recordings, Jonah Matranga is returning to the UK for an exciting tour that will bring him to Leeds.
The American singer-songwriter is putting together a show with both solo and electric sets and will be appearing at the Cockpit on Thursday, May 8 with support from UK band Five-Os. Tickets are available from Crash and Jumbo Records in Leeds.
As well as performing tracks from his critically acclaimed album And, Jonah will be treating fans to some of his prolific back catalogue as well. With Attention - featuring ex-members of previous outfit Gratitude - acting as his backing group, he will be playing songs from his past incarnations: the seminal Far, Gratitude, New End Original and onelinedrawing.
These special shows will further highlight Jonah’s talent and contribution to the post hardcore independent scene. As a solo artist, and as a member of Far, NEO and Gratitude, he has had a large influence on fans and bands alike in America and in the UK and these dates are a celebration of a career spanning 15 years.
Fans will be spoilt for merchandise with a desk full to the brim with goodies including an exclusive CD featuring b-sides, unreleased demos written at the same time as And and acoustic versions of the album tracks, collected and lovingly put together by Jonah himself.
