SHEFFIELD'S king of the dancefloor and ultra-confident star of the indie scene Jon McClure is back as his alter ego, The Reverend, and set to conquer the airwaves this summer before heading out on tour.
After making a big impression with top-five debut albums, The State of Things in 2007 and a bunch of exhilarating gigs, Reverend and the Makers return soon with A French Kiss In The Chaos (out Monday, July 27).

First taste of what to expect comes
with the release two weeks earlier of the first single from the album, Silence In Talking, which is being predicted to be a huge summer anthem, dominating the dance floors from Sheffield to Ibiza.

While aimed at the dancefloor, McClure also has plenty to say in his songs and is never shy about shooting his mouth off. Subjects on the second album are suitably varied from global warming to Prozac and consumerism, but there is also plenty of positivity on a record produced by Jagz Kooner (Primal Scream/Kasabian) and mixed by Dave Sardy (The Ting Tings/Oasis/LCD Soundsystem).

They will be appearing in Leeds at the University's Stylus venue on Monday, October 26, with tickets on sale now at £12 from www.gigandtours.com or by ringing the 24-hour credit card hotline 0871 2200260.
