Went here for New Years Eve. It was my first visit and upon entering I was very pleased. the interior is great and funky, perfect for a new years eve meal. Cocktails to start were gorgeous (probably needed a double shot of vodka - but that's probably me being an alki!)

The New Yrs set menu was a taster menu so abit of everything  Never tried sushi before so was  abit apprehensive but actually liked it!

The chili squid was amazing! And beef fillet was cooked to perfection. The food just kept coming! Not that I'd complain!

And the dessert... well WOW! it came on this platter and the waiter poured something over it and it was looked amazing (something that looked like it had come out of Heston's restaurant!)

Price was very very reasonable for a new yrs set menu. Not sure what daily prices are like though.

Overall a great experience and we are returning in a few weeks with friends who have never been!

Chino Latino is my favourite restaurant in Leeds! It might be expensive but look for discounts, you can sign up to twitter and follow them or on facebook (they do sometimes 40%). I swear, I never had better food in my life! Fried squid, inside-out chicken wings, sushi those are my favourite starters! For main I usually go for duck or lamb. The best part is the desserts though! Lyche or mango ice cream.. chocolate fondant cake.. mmm... And the staff is extremely helfpul with choosing if you are confused. I remember my first visit, I was stressed because I have never dined in Asian restaurant before. The waiter just chose for me :) I love this place.

Ya, leave behind a wishful thinking about pleasant treat in the midst of a city. Trendy interior does not add taste to greasy, hastily prepared meals with far too much egg in all vegetarian part of it. Oils used for frying taste like they are reused quite heavily. At the price charged you can expect at least some fresh peanut oil to be spared per order.
Miso is really salty!!! Coriander rice tastes fried egg and grease, not a scent of spice.
Don't expect much from Pad Thai: nothing of a classical spice combination. Vegetarian sushi are simply too raw (it's not fun to try to chew raw eggplant, believe me).

Sorry to say, but our family evening party was ruined because of so poorly prepared meal. We did not get the value for our money.

It sounds like it’s going to be an italian/chinese mix, but it’s not. Chino Latino is very very swish and swanky and funky inside - all black and red and white, a bit like the eighties, with a noughties twist.

I don’t know where I was going with that.

Expect to pay city centre prices though - a sushi platter to share comes in at about £12, which is reasonable, but a full on night out including drinks came to £170 (including tip), which is a hell of a lot to spend, but considering it included a couple of bottles of wine and enough beer to keep us there all night it’s not too bad in context.

Worth a trip if you like your oriental food - the staff are very helpful and accommodating if you need a hand with ordering (I get confused sometimes, I am a bit simple when it comes to fancy pants dining). But remortgage your house first if you plan on making a night of it.
