AS the Labour Party candidate in last week's election for the Morley South ward, I would like to offer my thanks to everyone who helped in my campaign and most importantly to all the people of Morley who voted for me.
To retain their trust and support at this time was gratifying and I am most grateful.

While I was very disappointed with the result locally, I do wish to make a further appeal on behalf of Morley.

Irrespective of how people voted, it was clear to me that the people of Morley wanted (and the town needs) an adequate bus station, rather than the totally unsatisfactory situation that exists at the present time.

I would urge the elected representatives to pursue this aim for the benefit of everyone, rather than accept the will of the bus companies.
