What about our end?

MY wife and I attended this year's Morley and Rothwell summit meeting at Morley Rugby Club and were impressed by the large attendance and enthusiastic speakers on the future programme of Morley projects and the regenerating of Morley Bottoms.
We live at the other end of town and would suggest this side of town also needs attention.
People approaching Morley from the motorway system can see dilapidated properties such as the derelict pub and Cowlings buildings on Bridge Street, the old mill and scruffy spare land used as a fly tip and inadequate car park opposite the doctors surgery on South Queens Street, giving a poor outlook for prospective shoppers.
I have collected dozens of beer cans on the spare land and tidied up the best that I can, but it still needs professional work to make it presentable.
The mill has planning permission for 42 flats and 19 car parking spaces, which I am against because of the parking allowance. The owners can also apply every three years for planning permission but don’t seem interested in progressing with this project.
The pub and derelict buildings need demolishing. Please do something for our end of town!
