Debut for new Leeds theatre company
Emma Falcao MacFadyen
Leeds’s newest professional theatre company is putting on its debut production next week.
Shakers Re-Stirred by John Godber and Jane Thornton will be performed at Seven Arts Leeds in Chapel Allerton by Black Swan Theatre on Tuesday and Wednesday.
It will be performed, produced and directed by Emma Falcao MacFadyen, Rachel Lyttle, Serena Redshaw and Emma-Louise Watson.
Emma, organiser of the new venture, said: “We have chosen Shakers Re-Stirred for our debut because it’s a play we all love to perform.
“It’s funny and challenging at the same time.”
The play, about four cocktail waitresses in Shakers bar, will be performed at Seven Arts, Harrogate Road, at 8pm on February 19 and 20. Doors open at 7.15pm.
Tickets cost £9.50 or £7.50 for concessions and are available online at www.sevenleeds.co.uk or from the box office on 0113 2626777.
