OUTSTANDING in every respect, that was the verdict of Ofsted inspectors when they visited a Tingley childminder recently.
Alison Holmes was very pleased with the recently published report which found the service she provides from her home on Longwood Road met their highest standard.

Alison said that although she and her staff do work hard to make sure they provide the best service possible to their charges, they had “just been doing what we should have been doing”.

Alison has been a registered childminder since 1998 and now employs two assistants, Lorraine Coffey and Susan Rymer, to help her look after 20 children.

Inspectors visited on February 25 and judged her in everything from the facilities she can provide and the kind of food she feeds her charges to the ways she tries to teach them to behave and care for others.

The children were seen to be happy, motivated and confident thanks to their care and to enjoy a wide range of activities both in the house and outdoors.
