A TRIP back in time was had by a group from a Morley estate.
The Denshaws, Newlands and Rydals Residents' Association took 48 people to the Victorian-themed Beamish Open Museum near Durham.
There, children were able to experience being a youngster in Victorian times by attending the museum's school and playing with toys from the era.
They were able to go down the drift mine, watch sweets being made in the workshop at the rear of the sweet shop, visit the chapel, go into the bank and see the vaults where money was kept and even go on the fairground rides and in the hall of mirrors, which caused much hilarity.
Group vice chairman Wyn Kidger said: "The weather was kind and we all were able to have our lunch in the park listening to the music of the Victorian street organ.
"All who attended thoroughly enjoyed the day hopping on and off the trams and buses. The children were extremely well behaved and enjoyed the experience ."
The trip was funded by proceeds made at the estate's fun day held at Newlands Primary School in May.
"Already we are being asked 'where are we going next'?", Wyn said, adding she'd like to thank eveything who supports the association on behalf of members of the committee.
