THREE rugby-loving Morley High School pupils were part of a successful match at John Charles Centre for Sport.
Year seven pupils Nick Gomersall, Jack Monk and Jake Dearden, who play for Hunslet Parkside and Drighlington, were chosen by their clubs to take part in the Eddie Sutcliffe Cross City Challenge.

Training and trial games were held and a squad of 20 were selected from each side, giving the U12s the opportunity to gain representative honours.

The first match took place at Hunslet and ended in an 18-18 draw. The second game ended in a thrilling 16-18 win for South Leeds at Stanningley ARFLC and the final game was held at the John Charles Centre as the curtain raiser to the Hunslet Hawks v Oldham game.

South Leeds came out the winners and the team were at Leeds Carnegie on Friday showing their trophy to the Leeds v St Helen's crowd at half-time.
