MORLEY'S representative on the Public Transport Authority has welcomed news that the Office of Fair Trading is to investigate bus companies and the fares they charge.
The news follows controversial changes to bus services across Morley and accusations by some passengers that bus companies were profiteering from the changes.

Coun Thomas Leadley said: "I am pleased the bus companies are to be formally investigated as many passengers have believed they have made large profits over the years but have shown little interest in improving bus services or bus reliability.

"I will watch the outcome of this investigation closely and use any outcome to campaign for better bus services locally."
