VOLUNTEERS and enthusiasts from Morley Community Radio were back on the air-waves, broadcasting from their base at Woodkirk High School.
New programmes included The Band Room, a one hour show dedicated to brass band music that was produced by new member Rob Collinson, a local musician, composer and arranger.

Listeners enjoyed the return of regular presenters alongside new ones including Nick Foster, 15, from Outwood who stepped in at the last minute when a presenter had to drop out.

A spokesman from MCR said they were very impressed by the 'complete professionalism' of the lad who also works as a volunteer with Dewsbury Hospital Radio.

"MCR are always on the lookout for new members and volunteers to expand their broadcasting output and experience is not a requirement", said chairman, Ian Grey.

"Our next Committee meeting is on September 15 with a view to our next internet broadcast in early October after the Summer break. Please check our website at www.morleyradio.org for details."
