OUSTANDING - that was the view of Ofsted inspectors after they visited Seven Hills Primary School.
Staff and pupils were celebrating after receiving a report which called the level of care, support and guidance at the school outstanding because it reassured pupils, built their confidences and enabled them to be successful.
The report added: “All clearly enjoy coming to school and have a good attitude to learning. ‘We have great teachers’ was the view of the pupils in the school council. Equality of opportunity is outstanding, enabling all pupils to achieve their potential.
“Pupils make good and often very good progress as they move through the school.”
Seven Hills head Mrs Pauline Potter said the report recognised the professionalism, care and dedication of the whole school team.
“Pupils love coming to our school. That’s because everyone here works hard to ensure that each child is treated as an individual and that we meet their needs and interests,” she said.
Mr David Dewhirst, chairman of governors, said: “I am delighted with the outcome of the recent Ofsted Inspection which celebrates the contribution the school makes to pupils' learning.
“I am especially pleased that the inspection rightly noted that all pupils enjoy coming to school and the outstanding equality of opportunity which Seven Hills provides and which enables all pupils to achieve their potential.
“Equally important is Ofsted's recognition of the accuracy of our own school self-evaluation and the outstanding level of care, support and guidance we provide."
