A WOMAN has pleaded guilty to stabbing her ex-partner as he dropped his children at a Morley school.
Jacqueline Tetley, 43, appeared briefly at Leeds Crown Court last Wednesday and pleaded guilty to wounding Joseph Hilton with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.

Tetley, of Beckhill Vale, Meanwood, also gave a guilty plea to possessing an offensive weapon.

The attack happened just before 9am on April 2 this year when Tetley stabbed Mr Hilton, 45, in front of horrified children and parents outside Seven Hills Primary School.

Moments earlier they had been in the same car as he pulled up to drop his son off at the school.

Tetley got out of the car and stabbed Mr Hilton just 50 yards away from the school gates. According to witnesses, after the stabbing Mr Hilton ran into the playground calling for help.

Sentencing was adjourned until September 8 while pre-sentence and psychiatric reports are prepared.

Prosecutor, Kenneth Green said: "Clearly there are problems with his lady, a medical report would assist the court in determining sentence."
Judge Peter Hunt told Tetley: "Do not read into the fact that I am
adjourning this for reports as an indication about the sentence.

"All options at sentence will be open to the judge."

Tetley was freed on conditional bail. She must live and sleep at the Beckhill Vale address and obey a 7am-7pm curfew.

She also must not enter Wakefield or Morley unless attending a pre-arranged doctors appointment.
