Clara Mollitt had a little help celebrating her 100th birthday.
Mrs Mollitt, who has dedicated her life to St Mary’s in the Wood Church, was given a celebratory party by her family and church friends .
And sitting amongst all the flowers and gifts she was given, was a card from Queen Elizabeth II, congratulating her on reaching 100.
Mrs Mollitt started attending St Mary’s Mission from the age of eight. She was secretary of the Ladies Circle, convenor of the café, church cleaner and Elder.
She says her happiest memory of St Mary’s was her wedding day.
She enjoys the fellowship of the church and still is active on the telephone with her pastoral work.
Mrs Mollitt also still attends worship each Sunday and coffee mornings on a Saturday.
Clara has two sons, John and David four grandchildren and seven great grand children.
