A young sporting ace has shot to tennis stardom after winning a top regional competition.
Thomas Naylor, of Morley, commanded the court to become the Yorkshire Tennis Champion at the nine and under Orange Ball games.
The youngster beat Thomas Vale in the final of the competition.
The match was held at the John Charles Centre for Sport’s Tennis Centre, in Middleton Grove, Leeds. Thomas is a pupil at Morley Victoria Primary School, off Asquith Avenue.
He hones his tennis skills at Batley Sports and Tennis Centre and has already proved himself to be an aspiring star of the future on the court.
The youngster also won the Yorkshire 9 and under County tennis event in January.
He rocketed through the mini tournament, winning all six matches back-to-back, and did not concede a single set in the group stages of the competition.
