Police are advising dog walkers to act “responsibly” after a dog broke into a field of cattle, “distressing” a bull.
The incident happened on farmland in the Drighlington area earlier this week.
As the dog got into the field, the bull managed to break out, causing potential danger to members of the public.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “Thankfully the bull was eventually returned to its field but the incident could have resulted in serious injury to the animal or to members of the public.
“Please could all dog walkers be extra vigilant when walking near to farmland.”
