Apprentices building careers at Morley’s White Rose centre

Two electrical apprentices will shortly be taking are set to take their final exams at Leeds College of Building after spending four years learning on the job at the White Rose Shopping Centre.

Nathan Waters, 21, and Chris Taylor, 20, have gained experience in IT and facilities services with NG Bailey, the company which provides on-site services at the shopping centre in Morley.

Chris said: “I have gained a lot of practical experience seeing how a huge and complex building works.”

White Rose Centre manager Dean Stratton said: “It has been pleasing to see the number of young people who have found work at the centre through the recent opening of new stores and restaurants.

“Anybody who is seeking employment should visit The Point at White Rose, to get advice on training and job opportunities.”
