City councillors representing Morley have returned to the Town Hall after being moved to the centre of Leeds earlier this year. Surgeries for local residents have restarted in the council chamber at the Hall following a hiatus. Councillors were forced to operate from council buildings in the city centre after being controversially shifted from their old premises in July.
Coun Robert Finnigan (Morley Borough Independents) said: “We pledged to return to the Town Hall so people could drop in and see a councillor about the problems they need resolving. We have delivered on that pledge.”
