Have your say

Do you have any tools that seem beyond repair or are just unwanted? If so, then they could help villagers in South Africa, Kenya and Zambia earn a living and support themselves.

A collection has been organised by Morley Churches Together for tomorrow,Saturday October 11, outside Morley’s Asda store in aid of Tools with a Mission, a charity that enables people overseas to earn a living and support themselves and their families.

Once collected, they are mended, refurbished and repackaged as tool kits for people in Africa to earn a living for their families.

For those unable to get to the event, call Rev Mike Godfrey on 0113 2523399 who will arrange collection.

Rev Godfrey said: “We had a fantastic response from the public in 2012, gathering one-and-a-half tons of tools ranging from gardening equipment to sewing machines, traders redundant tools and DIY tools.

“The generosity of Morley people was once more revealed.”

Adult mountain bikes and men’s bikes along with educational textbooks are also needed.
