A little girl with downs syndrome has become the face of children’s yoga classes held at Morley South Children’s Centre.
Mini Me Time asked parents on Facebook to submit a photo of their child and whoever got the most ‘likes’ would become the face of the brand. The winner, one-year-old, Hollie Cockerell from Gomersal, got nearly three times as many likes as the second place entry, with 193. Her prize included a professional photo shoot with mum, Angela, and dad, Steve.
Founder of Mini Me Time Charlotte Harrison said: “The competition was hugely successful, with lots of entries and parents really entered into the spirit of it.
“Hollie is beautiful and I am hugely proud that she won.”
To celebrate Hollie becoming the face of Mini Me Time, they had a party with some of the other competition entrants and children attending sessions at Morley South Children’s Centre.
Mini Me Time offers baby massage, baby yoga and mini groovers classes at Morley South Children’s Centre. They also run mini movers and baby sign at St Andrew’s Church and baby massage, baby yoga and mini cooks at Churwell Community Centre.
Mrs Harrison, who has been running these classes for six years, said: “I suffered post natal depression and attending and participating in baby massage made such a significant difference to my relationship with my baby.
“At the time it was not widely available, so I decided to do the training and started offering classes.”
“The aim of the competition was to raise awareness as last year I re-branded from Ickle Uns to Mini Me Time. I decided it was time to expand the business and while I loved the Ickle Uns brand, no one south of Sheffield understood the name.”
