The popular Morley March Hymn and Tune Contest will be back in town later this month and it is hoped the sun will be shining.
This year see the eighth contest, which will see 14 bands, from championship to youth, march along Queen Street in front of their audience and shoppers before taking their turn the competition itself.
The event will take place on Sunday June 15 with a traditional road march along the pedestrian area of Queen Street, starting from the statue of Ernie Wise.
There will be bands from Hull to Stockport, North Yorkshire to Derbyshire competing, hoping to beat five times winners, Marsden Band, who hoping to secure the double hat-trick.
If the weather is bad, the concert will be held inside Morley Town Hall in the Alexandra Hall.
