A master chocolatier has been invited to host a class in Morley to help promote the principles of Fairtrade.

David Greenwood-Haigh, an independent chocolatier, will take participants on a chocolate journey at the event at St Peter’s Church on Rooms Lane on Friday, March 8 from 7.30pm-9pm.

During Fairtrade fortnight, St Peter’s will also be giving a chocolate makeover to their regular Wednesday morning open church drop in.

On February 27 and March 6, in addition to their usual Fairtrade coffee, tea and homemade cakes, they will be serving hot chocolate with whipped cream and all their cakes will be made with Fairtrade chocolate.

Tickets, available at the door, cost £3 and will include cheese and wine or hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows.

Proceeds will go to Hands of Hope, dedicated to creating partnerships in Haiti.
