Donors are being called upon to help save lives by taking time to give blood.
A donor session is being held at the Alexandra Hall in Morley on Friday, 2pm-4pm or 5pm-7.30pm.
Hospitals in England and North Wales need 7,000 units of blood each day.
Each donation can potentially save up to three lives.
It is not only used in accident and emergency situations, but also for patients undergoing surgery and receiving treatment for cancer and other blood diseases.
First time donors should be aged between 17-65, weighing at least 50kg (seven stone 12lbs) and in general good health.
There is no upper age limit for donors who have donated in the last two years.
