Do you know these men? That is the question British Transport Police (BTP) officers are asking as they appeal for the public’s help to identify two men who they believe worked together to steal a woman’s purse at Leeds railway station.
PC David Smith said: “The purse, which contained £60 in cash, a number of cards and a driving license, was stolen just after 11.45am on Monday August 4.
“The victim, a 21-year-old woman from Keighley, was in the travel centre at Leeds station and had placed her wallet on the counter while she completed a form.
“Two men approached the counter when one of the men grabbed the purse and concealed it under his arm before quickly passing it to the other man. Both then left the travel centre separately and walked off into the station in different directions.
“We would like to identify and speak to the men in these photographs in connection with this incident. If you recognise them or know their current whereabouts please contact us.”
Anyone with information should contact BTP on Freefone 0800 405040 or text 61016. Information can also be passed to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
