A primary school in Morley has won Yorkshire in Bloom’s Gold award for the second year running.
Fountain Primary School’s enthusiasm and knowledge about planting helped them to secure gold said judges.
The judges said that the grounds contain “some outstanding floral features and sustainable planting ideas, every corner was taken up by different classes ideas and planting.”
The school’s care taker Mr Fowler felt that they had a good chance of winning this year with all the effort put in by children, staff, parents, Churwell Community Action Group and Hayes Recruitment.
Fountain Primary’s Val Anderson said: “We are very proud for the whole school community and will continue our efforts for next years competition.”
