Morley police are investigating three break-ins at homes in the area in 24 hours.

The first burglary took place on Hodgson Lane in Drighlington overnight on Tuesday with the suspects getting in through a side door.

They made off with a range of items including a gold ring, a watch with the face inscribed with the word PAT, a black handbag, purse and a LG Shine mobile phone.

The second break-in took place at a house on Whyment Close, Churwell, again breaking through a door.

The final offence took place at Ashwood Drive, Gildersome, where suspects removed a window to get in.

Insp Paul Sullivan, who leads Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We have had our forensic teams working on all three scenes and recovered significant evidence likely to lead to the identity of the offenders.”
