A broken down motorbike was stolen after the owner left it parked ready to be collected by a recovery garage.

The bike, a black Suzuki DRZ 400 SM, registration YL06 AOB, broke down on Tuesday at around 6am near the old White Bear pub car park on Dewsbury Road, near Tingley roundabout.

The owner left it near to the entrance of the former pub, which is surrounded by large concrete blocks.

He took the keys to a bike workshop ready for collection and later, around 9.30am, passed the bike, which was parked where he had left it.

But when the workshop arrived at 11am, the bike had disappeared.

Morley Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything on the busy road between these times, to contact them on 0113 2382035 or via the non-emergency number 101, quoting the crime number 13140018510.
