Staff at Dogs Trust Leeds are hoping to give Chris Froome a reason to smile by naming a dog after him.
The adorable eight-year old Bearded Collie arrived at the Rehoming Centre when her owner sadly passed away. Her carers are hoping that at least the four-legged Froome will still be able to find her furry tail ending this summer by finding the loving home which she deserves for the rest of her life (cycle).
Sarah Gamble, Dogs Trust Leeds Rehoming Centre Manager said:“ With Froome fever gripping Yorkshire these past few weeks it seemed only fitting we should name a dog in his honour. Our Froome is a real character and her boundless enthusiasm for life and loving nature has made her a firm favourite with staff and volunteers at the centre.
“Like her namesake she is very energetic and determined, and like any athlete would benefit from a little extra training. Unlike Chris, she is looking forward to an early retirement and is searching for a quiet adult home where she can put her paws up and relax. Froome needs patient owners who will help her settle and become part of the family and would prefer to be the only dog in the home so she can enjoy all the attention.”
If you can give Froome a loving home, please call Dogs Trust Leeds on 0113 2814920 or visit the centre at York Road, Leeds, LS15 4NL.
