A YOUNG actress from Tingley is helping put the song and dance into a production of Dick Whittington at the Carriageworks Theatre.
Woodkirk Academy pupil Rebekah Miller, 11, has been working hard to learn her chorus-line routines and now “can’t wait” to put them into practice this weekend.
The early season pantomime will be her fourth show at the city centre theatre since joining the On Stage Theatre Arts Academy two years ago.
The pantomime about Dick Whittington’s rise to fame and fortune as the Mayor of London, with a little help from his cat, is a family friendly show packed with songs and dances, jokes and lots of audience participation.
It also stars Yorkshire comedian Mike Hammond as Fanny the Cook.
Tickets for the performances which are at 2pm and 7pm on Saturday and at 2pm on Sunday, cost £13 for adults and £11 for concessions and can be bought from the box office on 0113 224 3801.
