The NHS is urging people across Morley to give blood this summer before they head off on their holidays.
Blood stocks reduce during the summer months as people enjoy the warm weather and have less time to donate, but the health service remains reliant on 7,000 people giving blood every day across England and North Wales.
There is particularly strong demand for those with blood groups B Rh negative and O Rh negative. There will be sessions at Morley Town Hall today, Thursday August 7 and again on Wednesday August 20, from 2pm -4pm and 5pm - 7.30pm.
Donna Batty, lead donor relations manager for Yorkshire and the North said they were asking donors to give before going on holiday.
Anyone aged between 17 and 65 and weighing more than 50kg (7st, 12lbs) can give blood. Appointments can be made at www.blood.co.uk.
