A fundraising event in memory of a budding young football player attracted the crowds on Sunday.
Drighlington Juniors Football Club organised a five-a-side football tournament in honour of Joe Kazzan, nine, one of the club’s players who tragically died in an accident at his home in September last year.
The popular event saw parents and coaches compete on the pitch all hoping to be handed the Joe Kazzan Trophy while raising money for three great causes, Forget Me Not Children, Autism Bradford Support and Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal.
After an afternoon on the pitch, it was Drighlington Cricket Club who were victorious in the final with the U8s parents.
There were also raffles and tombolas on the day with prizes generously donated by local businesses.
Drighlington Juniors AFC members said they wanted to thank everybody who took part in the day’s event for their support.
