A group of older ladies from Drighlington are hoping to encourage a few more friends to join them for their weekly pilates lessons.
The group meet at Drighlington Meeting Hall, Moorland Road, for the classes run every Wednesday by Pam Fearnley but they need to attract more to their number to prevent the sessions folding.
Pam, who is a part-time receptionist at The Morley Academy, re-trained as a pilates instructor after being made redundant from her job at Leeds Metropolitan University.
She said the ladies who come along to her Wednesday sessions enjoyed them so much it would be a real shame to have to stop them.
“Some of them have mobility problems and have said that coming along to the pilates classes have really helped,” she said.
“They’d be really disappointed if they had to stop coming so we’re all really keen to attract some new members.
“If I get enough interest I can organise different classes at another time as well, such as an evening class.”
