The gods smiled on Drigstock at the weekend and threw sunshine on what proved to be one of the best events in its 11 year history.
The venue for the popular music festival was The New Inn in Drighlington and the organisers made sure it ran once again without a hitch.
This year’s charity was The Candlelighters and the target of £1,000 was very nearly reached on the day.
The bands were exceptional right from the start with The Memphis Cruisers kicking off the show with a blast of rockabilly and a demonstration of double bass gymnastics.
The stage crew made sure bands were looked after and the bar staff coped brilliantly under massive pressure.
One of the organisers Daz Tomlinson said: “Jagermeister have now jumped on board and have agreed that we have one of the best micro-festivals for miles around.
“The bands were exceptional and the line-up was very strong, with The Red Levels, Pancho Bullet, Delirium, Renegade Heroes and Headlined by the UK’s number one Foo Fighters tribute band The Food Fighterz.
“A massive thanks to all that helped or donated services and our main sponsors Cube Communications.
“Drigstock is going from strength to strength every year.”
