East Ardsley Post Office is closing its doors while it undergoes a modern make-over.
The post office on Bradford Road will be temporarily closing on Monday February 17 while refurbishments take place and will reopen on February 26 with extended opening hours.
During its closure, Royal Mail suggests that customers take advantage of its free redelivery service if they are not at home when Royal Mail leaves a ‘Something for you’ card.
This service means customers will not have to travel to Wakefield Delivery Office to pick up parcels as Royal Mail offers for items to be redelivered free to their address on a preferred day including Saturday or to another address in the same postcode.
Royal Mail also uses Delivery to Neighbour where the postman will leave your item with a neighbour unless customers wish to opt out of this service.
For any customers who wish to collect their parcels at Wakefield Delivery Office, 2 Denby Dale Road. Wakefield, WF1 1AA, the opening hours of the callers’ office are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7am-6pm, Wednesday 7am-8pm and Saturday from 7am-2pm.
If customers have any queries they can call the Customer Services Team on 0845 601 1399. For deaf and hard of hearing customers, call the Textphone on 0845 6000606.
Full details of Royal Mail’s redelivery options can be found at www.royalmail.com/redelivery.
