Over 250 people descended on Churwell to enjoy the Easter celebrations.
Clark Spring Woods was filled with people, young and old, all hoping to get their hands on a chocolate Easter egg,
Organised by the Churwell Environmental Volunteers group, the event included rides on the newly built mini-railway, pond dip and refreshments as well as the clue-finding hunt.
A total of 118 eggs were handed out to the intrepid hunters throughout the afternoon.
Volunteer Joanna Coultous said: “Many thanks to Ryan Property Law in Pudsey who sponsored our egg hunt.
“We had lots of new faces this year and dozens of positive comments about the woods and the work that has been done. Lots of families said they would return to have picnics over the holidays.”
The group were also filming for a Happy Churwell video, which they hope to post it on YouTube when filming around the village has finished.
Joanna said: “A big thank you to all those who turned up to enjoy the day and those who baked and offered their services to make it so wonderful”
