YOUNG actresses from Stagecoach Theatre Arts have been presented with certificates for their LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) acting exams.
Holly Causer, Heather Gregory, Keri Burrows, Kirstie Gregory, Anna Gerard and Daniella Waller are pupils at the performing arts centre based at Morley Victoria School.
Principal Ken Davison said: “Our most successful student, Emma Wainwright, achieved a merit at grade six in acting, and was awarded the LAMDA Bronze Medal for Acting.
“Emma was just 14 when she took the exam, so this is a tremendous achievement for her. This exam is equivalent to an A level and carries UCAS points, which will come in very handy for Emma when she starts applying to universities.”
He added: “Knowing these exams are equivalent to ‘school’ exams helps to underline how useful these qualifications are, and how important it is for young people to be able to communicate confidently.”
