Formula One fans in for a treat at White Rose Centre this weekend

editorial image

FORUMLA One fans are in for a treat this weekend as this season’s Lotus F1 Team show car will be on display at the White Rose Shopping Centre. The newly-refurbished Ernest Jones store will be transformed into a Formula One pit stop as part of the TW Steel event from October 26-28.

As well as having the Lotus F1 Team show car on display outside the store, racing enthusiasts will also be able to try out their driving skills on a state-of-the-art simulator, where they can compete for the fastest lap on the simulated Silverstone track in a bid to win a TW Steel Lotus F1 Team watch.

Would-be racing drivers can go for a spin in the simulator for £1, with all proceeds donated to St Gemma’s Hospice, the White Rose’s chosen charity partner for 2012.

Dean Stratton, centre manager at the White Rose, said: “It’s fantastic to have the TW Steel team bringing this season’s Lotus F1 Team show car to the centre.

“The racing simulator also gives fans a chance to test out their driving skills and at the same time raise vital funds for St Gemma’s Hospice.”

Further information on the event is available at www.white-rose.co.uk, on the White Rose Facebook page at www.facebook.com/WhiteRoseShopping and on Twitter at www.twitter.com/iamwhiterose.
