Friends of Dartmouth Park to share its history

Dartmouth Park.

Dartmouth Park.

A group of people whose passion is the beautiful Dartmouth Park are inviting everyone along to learn more about its history and talk about its future.

The Friends of Dartmouth Park have organised a get together on March 23 from 2pm-3pm at Morley Cricket Club, where there will be displays showing their many successful events in the park and what the group have achieved so far.

There will also be a display showing the history of the much-loved park.

It is also hoped that people will go along and share any ideas they may have.

It might be things they like and want more of, or things they aren’t so pleased about and would change.

All suggestions and ideas will be made most welcome.

Also, weather permitting, a walk around the park will be arranged.

Another event to be held at the park will be a herb workshop, which will take place on April 6 from 11am-noon in the restored Botanic Garden.

There will be the chance to take part in a quiz, get advice about different herbs, how to grow and cook them and also how they can be used as cosmetics.

Plants will also be on sale during the afternoon.
