An overgrown footpath has been refurbished and made safer for residents.

The pathway in Wide Lane has had new handrails installed along with ramps creating wheelchair access and new steps.
The flagged path has been made safe as part of investment by Leeds City Council.

Coun Josie Jackson, who initiated the work, said: “Everyone is very happy with the now completed footpath.

“It’s been a long time coming and looked dismal beforehand.

“I have been planting some flowers and plants for spring, which will make it look very nice for everyone.”

The work took four weeks to complete.
