People are being invited to share their concerns and experiences about local social care at a meeting with MP Ed Balls at Morley Town Hall next week.
Age UK, who is hosting the event, say that social care is currently in crisis with older people being let down by the amount and quality of care they receive and are campaigning parliament to ensure that social care is affordable, dignified and carried out by well trained, respectful staff who meet needs.
Older people, and those who care for them, are being invited to attend the meeting, which includes lunch, on Friday June 6 from 12.30pm-3.30pm, especially those who have experience of social care either personally, or through supporting family or friends.
