Residents met with councillors to discuss plans to build three care homes on Bridge Street.
The proposal to build three residential care homes is likely to have a significant impact on properties on Bridge Terrace, which are next door to the proposed site.
Coun Shirley Varley said: “We are supportive of the provision of additional care home facilities in Morley as many older residents are looking for this kind of accommodation.
“However, the proposal presently being considered will have a significant impact on residents and we are exploring the ways that the impact can be reduced.”
Residents raised concerns about highways matters along with the scale and massing of the care homes proposed by Heathcotes Care, which will provide 24-rooms, 10 car parking spaces and 12 full time employees.
